    Equipment Summary

Project was never completed so unit was never used. Siemens did the storage wrapping on site. All component pieces included. Significant upgrades required. One important clarification before the specs. The NovaStar inventory listing references two SGT6-5000F gas turbines plus one SST-5000 steam turbine as part of a combined package. That is a 2x1 combined cycle configuration. The SGT6-5000F is a 60 Hz machine. The SST-5000 is Siemens' steam turbine series used in combined cycle plants. Specs for both components are below, followed by combined cycle plant performance. IMPORTANT CONTEXT NOTE The SGT6 prefix denotes 60 Hz. If the NovaStar package is intended for a 60 Hz market, this is the correct designation. If it is intended for a 50 Hz market, the correct counterpart would be the SGT5-4000F or SGT5-8000H. Confirm the Hz designation against the actual inventory documentation before listing. SGT6-5000F GAS TURBINE (each unit, ISO conditions) Classification: Heavy-duty industrial gas turbine, 60 Hz market. Simple cycle power output: up to 260 MW per unit. Simple cycle thermal efficiency: 40.0 percent. Pressure ratio: 19:1. Turbine speed: 3,600 rpm. NOx emissions: less than 9 ppmvd at 15 percent O2 at ISO ambient conditions. CO emissions: less than 4 ppmvd. Turndown: to 30 percent load while maintaining emissions compliance. Ramp rate: up to 40 MW per minute. Start-up time: 5 minutes from turning gear to full speed. Combined cycle hot start: full plant load within 5 minutes. MECHANICAL ARCHITECTURE Compressor is a 13-stage axial flow design with 19:1 pressure ratio and advanced 3D blading. Three rows of variable inlet guide vanes for part load efficiency and transient operation. All blades and vanes are replaceable without rotor lift or rotor de-stacking. Combustion system uses 16 can-type combustors with the Ultra Low NOx dry low emissions system capable of single-digit ppm from 30 percent load to baseload. Four-stage turbine with conventionally cast turbine alloys, eliminating the need for single-crystal materials. Disc-type rotor with radial Hirth serrations and central tie rod, providing a lightweight and highly rigid design. External rotor air cooler maintains constant cooling air temperature across the ambient range. Dual fuel capability standard. FUEL FLEXIBILITY The SGT6-5000F can burn natural gas, LNG, syngas, ethane, propane, Arabian Super Light crude oil, distillate oil, condensate, Arabian Extra Light crude oil, biodiesel, alcohols, Jet-A oil, and kerosene. It tolerates hydrogen sulfide content up to 4,000 ppm and hydrogen blending up to 30 percent by volume. Online fuel transfer between gas and liquid fuel is supported. FLEET AND RELIABILITY More than 380 units sold worldwide. Fleet has accumulated more than 15 million operating hours. Fleet reliability exceeds 99.2 percent. Commercial operation history dates to 1993. SST-5000 STEAM TURBINE Classification: Utility-class steam turbine for combined cycle and conventional steam power plants, 50 or 60 Hz. Power output range for combined cycle applications: 120 MW to 500 MW. Power output range for conventional steam plant applications: 120 MW to 750 MW. Main steam inlet pressure: up to 190 bar or 2,756 psi. Main steam inlet temperature: up to 600 degrees Celsius or 1,112 degrees Fahrenheit. Reheat steam temperature: up to 600 degrees Celsius or 1,112 degrees Fahrenheit. Exhaust area at 60 Hz: 4.4 square meters to 11.1 square meters, with last blade profile lengths of 24 to 47 inches. The SST-5000 features a combined high-pressure and intermediate-pressure cylinder and at least one double-flow low-pressure cylinder. Two exhaust arrangements are available: high-level with down exhaust, and low-level with single or double side exhaust. Extractions are possible for feedwater heating. 2x1 COMBINED CYCLE PLANT PERFORMANCE (SCC6-5000F 2x1 CONFIGURATION) This is the configuration most relevant to the NovaStar package of two SGT6-5000F units plus one SST-5000 steam turbine. Total net plant output: 750 MW. Net plant efficiency: 57.5 percent. Configuration: two SGT6-5000F gas turbines, each with a dedicated heat recovery steam generator, driving a shared SST6-5000 steam turbine and three generators. Control system: Siemens SPPA-T3000. Build notes: 6-7 months Pricing notes: LOT PRICE
